Through the lens of a Dancer

 

From the darkness of the wings of the Old Stage, I decided to learn how to use my analogue Olympus camera. I patiently practiced and captured the mesmerising movements and outstanding performances of my colleagues at the Royal Danish Ballet.

The theatre became my favourite playground, not only for dancing but also for preserving unique moments with the click of my camera. The quality of film photography resonates deeply with dance; it underscores its mystique while subtly revealing some of its inherent mystery. I now photograph with both analogues and a digital camera, documenting the behind the scenes of the Royal Danish Ballet.
